1. Between 3PM — 7PM EST – in these 4 hours, the US banks are either closed for the day or trading very lightly. On the other side of the globe, the Asian banks haven’t opened yet so the trading volume is generally low and the market is much more predictable. You can get nice profits by Forex scalping during such times.

2. 12–15 hours before a major news announcement that may cause shifts in market prices is also a time in which the market is usually better for scalping. Since everyone is waiting for the news announcement, volatility is usually weak and the trading volume is low. You can find the market moving in a narrow price range and get quick hit profits more easily than in other times.
